WBR announcements

Have you seen Regina's new video for "Better", where she clones herself?? I don't think she could be any better!

Taking Back Sunday today announced that vocalist-guitarist Fred Mascherino has decided to leave the band to pursue a solo career. Mascherino joined Taking Back Sunday in 2003 and appeared on the band’s gold-certified albums Louder Now and Where You Want To Be.

“We are sad to see Fred go,” says vocalist Adam Lazzara, “and we wish him well with his new project. As for Taking Back Sunday, we’re alive and well. We’ve started working on the new album and it feels really good.”

Amnesty International Via the Instant Karma Campaign Reunited A Man From Green Day's "Working Class Hero" Video With His Family

Amnesty International through the Instant Karma campaign sent money to the Darfur Human Rights Organization of the USA (which organized many of the Darfuris for Green Day's "Working Class Hero" video shoot), who used this money to send one of the young men from the Green Day video, named Garelnabi Abbas (pictured above), to a refugee camp in Chad to bring relief supplies, and to be reunited with his mother, two sisters and a brother. Garelnabi returns this Friday, October 5th, from his trip to Chad. Both Amnesty International and Warner Bros.

Rolling Stone's Kevin O'Donnell Sports Sire

... Kevin O. was one of the lucky few to get his hands on one of these Sire T-Shirts. They're limited edition, and seriously, we had to keep the small box of tees we had under lock and key to keep them from mysteriously disappearing. He looks fabulous in yellow, huh?

TAILOR made food

Pictured from left to right: Fernando Aguilar (WBR) Sam Mason (owner and head chef at Tailor), Melissa Maerz (Rolling Stone) and Keren Pozuansky (WBR). Sam was a former chef at WD50 and just opened his resturant in Tribeca. It's a MUST when you're in New York City...

People are beginning to wonder if i'm doing a bit of music supervision on the side due to the onslaught of new LIPS music turning up on all screens big and small. The extra cash is great... THE BROTHERS SOLOMON, (Sony Pictures films) opens TODAY and if you stay to the very end, you'll hear "THE YEAH YEAH YEAH SONG" rolling by w/ the credits. Sweet! Turn on the TV when you get home and chances are, you'll hear "THE W.A.N.D." in a Dell commercial. Whacky, huh?

Warner Bros. Records Head of Press, Luke Burland, suffered an attack of insecurity this morning whilst doing pilates. Luke was trying to enjoy the benefits of stretching and toning her body when she looked to the left and noticed that a Nashvillian Soccer Mom was outperforming her. A cold sweat broke out and she slid off the reformer into the parking lot where she was forced to put her head between her legs to catch her breath. She quickly changed and went to work pissed off.

Work and play. it's all the same for The Flaming Lips.
They manage to avoid sleep by getting things done. When they're not touring, they record, they remix other people's recordings, they build UFO's... What's next? How about a fresh crop of new recordings on various upcoming soundtracks and scores. "Summercamp!" is a documentary by Bradley Beesley & Sarah Price (Fearless Freaks, UFO's At The Zoo).
