Lori McKenna won the coveted Album Of The Year award for her album “Unglamorous” this weekend at the Boston Music Awards in, you guessed it, Boston, MA. While accepting her award, she joked that her family might finally believe she has a real job now.
Congrats Lori!

Anna Nicole Herceg and Keren Poznansky quickly jumped into each others arms when they thought they felt an earthquake rock the Burbank office. What really happened was Renee was blasting Van Halen, a common occurence at the Ranch and the Ricker ran to his office slamming to the door to escape Eddie, DLR, Alex and Michael. Unfortunately all that happened was Brian's pix on the adjoining wall were knocked askew. Askew this.

While crisscrossing the US on their headlining tour during this Holiday season, Warner Bros./Sire recording artists, The Spill Canvas have partnered up with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. During the month of November, the band would like to encourage their fans that come to see the show to donate goods to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in each city. Says lead singer/guitarist Nick Thomas, “We, here at camp Spill Canvas, are so excited to be a part of such a great cause. Please gather up some goodies and come out to the remaining shows this November. We need YOUR help on this one! Can't wait to see you all. Let's make this holiday a special one!”
The first 25 fans that bring an item (toy, new clothing, etc.) will receive a wristband to attend a private meet and greet with the band an hour before the show. They will also receive an autographed poster (provided by Warner/Sire).
To date, the Spill Canvas have toured with bands like Motion City Soundtrack, Straylight Run, Mae and The Plain White T's, and graced the stages of Austin's annual music festival SXSW, New Jersey's The Bamboozle and the Vans Warped Tour in both 2006 and 2007. The band, who was named one of Alternative Press' "Bands To Watch in 2007," may not exactly be living next-door anymore, but they have preserved the sensibility of their humble beginnings. Notorious for their personal relationship with their fans, The Spill Canvas may spend most of the year on the road, but their hearts have never left Sioux Falls.

Drawn to Nashvegas by nothing other than the magnetic personality of the lovely Luke Burland AND Regina Spektor at the Ryman, Warner Employees from both New York and Burbank (SEE PHOTO: LORI FELDMAN, ELLEN WAKAYAMA, LUKE BURLAND and TIPS) descended upon Nashville last night. They were all throwing back some of Nashvilles finest spirits (the alcoholic kind), when they got word that Regina had to cancel her show (see prior post). The party continued back at the hotel where they drank well into the night. JR got his car towed for parking illegally, Lori went to Wal-Mart, Ellen could care less, Tips went M.I.A. and Luke told the group she was going to the "restroom," but instead, she quickly jumped into her car, put that pedal to the metal and rode off into the night on the wings of her Prius. Now how's that for some southern fried hospitality?!

Brown Bag Designer Bagly Mischka came through 3300 today and paid a surprise visit to the publicity corner. She had originally come to see publicity department shipping heiress* Renee Harrison, who missed the visit due to a prior engagment of visiting her cardboard cobbler who was fitting her for a pair of boxtop sling-backs. Instead Jill Augusto who works with Tips Grant in the marketing dept let the designer dress her in brown paper duds. (SEE PHOTO) HOT!!!
* when we say shipping heiress we are referring to Renee's pack-rat disorder with any materials used for shipping. From bubble wrap to boxes and from tape guns to office supply. She really needs help.
