FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 29, 2007 - New York, NY - Sire recording artists, Armor for Sleep, announce a co-headlining tour with Saosin starting January 2008 to promote their new release, Smile For Them-- the band’s third studio album and their major-label debut. A full list of tour dates will be released soon, but expect this tour to hit every major market in the US.
Smile for Them has already been building a buzz around Armor for Sleep. The video for the band’s first single, Williamsburg, premiered on MTV’s TRL last month and can be seen on MTV2, MTVU, and MTV.com.
According to Alternative Press Magazine, who awarded the album four stars, Armor has created “sprawling slow-burners” and “infectious anthems,” backed by “sophisticated guitar-rock epics.” The New Jersey-based quartet, which is comprised of members Ben Jorgensen (Vocals/Guitar), PJ DeCicco (Guitar), Anthony Dilonno (Bass), and Nash Breen (Drums), joined forces with renowned producer Machine (Lamb of God, Every Time I Die, Cobra Starship) at Machine Shop in Weehawken, NJ, for Smile For Them and have played shows with the likes of Against Me!, Taking Back Sunday, All-American Rejects and Underoath.

While crisscrossing the US on their headlining tour during this Holiday season, Warner Bros./Sire recording artists, The Spill Canvas have partnered up with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. During the month of November, the band would like to encourage their fans that come to see the show to donate goods to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in each city. Says lead singer/guitarist Nick Thomas, “We, here at camp Spill Canvas, are so excited to be a part of such a great cause. Please gather up some goodies and come out to the remaining shows this November. We need YOUR help on this one! Can't wait to see you all. Let's make this holiday a special one!”
The first 25 fans that bring an item (toy, new clothing, etc.) will receive a wristband to attend a private meet and greet with the band an hour before the show. They will also receive an autographed poster (provided by Warner/Sire).
To date, the Spill Canvas have toured with bands like Motion City Soundtrack, Straylight Run, Mae and The Plain White T's, and graced the stages of Austin's annual music festival SXSW, New Jersey's The Bamboozle and the Vans Warped Tour in both 2006 and 2007. The band, who was named one of Alternative Press' "Bands To Watch in 2007," may not exactly be living next-door anymore, but they have preserved the sensibility of their humble beginnings. Notorious for their personal relationship with their fans, The Spill Canvas may spend most of the year on the road, but their hearts have never left Sioux Falls.
