Blake Shelton Celebrates Fifth No. 1

Friends, family, industry well-wishers and Major League Baseball player Barry Bonds gathered in BMI’s Music Row lobby Friday, March 13 to help Blake Shelton celebrate his fifth chart-topper “She Wouldn’t Be Gone,” from his current CD Startin’ Fires and his second consecutive No. 1 following his smash hit “Home.” BMI songwriters Cory Batten and Jennifer Adan, co-writers of “She Wouldn’t Be Gone,” celebrate their first No. 1 single. (Bonds was in attendance via invitation from family friend Adan.)
