It's Official! The Flaming Lips have a street named in their honor in their homwtown of Oklahoma City. Today at 11:30am CT, the Mayor of OKC, Mick Cornett, presented the band with the sign to their very own street located in the "groovers section" of downtown known as Bricktown. Who cares that its actually an alley, cleverly called "FLAMING LIPS ALLEY," The Lips are still one step closer to world domination!
