As this relates to THE KINKS, maybe thee most important band to ever sign w/ REPRISE RECORDS (right about the time some of us were born - surely that list must include myself), this is worthy of your time. Thx Tom Osborn! Love you for sending this my way. Watch and pray for the reformation to come...soon.

Hey music fans - this may have nothing to do with Warner Bros. Records, directly speaking, but I know you'll appreciate it. Give the gift of music this Holiday season and support your local record shop as well while you still can. If this doesn't inspire you, you may not be saved! Remember, music = love! Buy some today!

Asher Book, a member of Warner Bros. Records pop vocal group V Factory, has been cast in the reinvention of the 1980 Oscar-winning motion picture Fame, which hits theaters September 25, 2009. Book will play Marco, a charismatic singer from a working class Italian-American family whose vocal skill is matched by his prowess with the opposite sex.
Inspired by the 1980 film, Fame follows an exceptional group of dancers, singers, actors, and artists over four years as they discover who among them possesses the innate talent and necessary discipline to succeed. Directed by Kevin Tancharoen, Fame is a story about performers whose abilities transcend the shallow, fifteen-minute idea of celebrity.
Book will be able to bring his real-life experience to the role. The 20-year-old Arlington, VA, native is a versatile actor, singer, and dancer who got his big break at an open casting call for the theatrical production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Cast in the principal role of Chip the Teacup, Asher traveled the U.S. on tour with the show for two and a half years, becoming so popular with fans that he was wound up playing the character for longer than any other actor in the show’s touring history. Book’s other credits include guest-starring roles on the NBC series Medium, the ABC Family original movie Pop Rocks, and Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101.
Book is currently driving young audiences across the country wild as a member of edgy urban pop group V Factory, which is gearing up to release its debut album on Warner Bros. Records next year. V Factory spent last May on a nationwide trek across the country for the first-ever “Bandemonium” tour.
